At its core, a cybersecurity policy is a collection of one or more requirements that must be met or complied with. These requirements can be written for people (employees, partners, vendors, etc.) or machines. If written for people, additional content and formatting can be added to facilitate understanding and consistency, such as definitions, introduction, approval, expiration, approver, and more.
